Custom, Dynamic Online Help to 3rd Party Applications!
FlexHelp is a unique new technology which lets Help
Desk/Support staff, IT professionals or others easily roll out their own custom
online help for the 3rd party applications they support--including major
productivity applications like Microsoft Office, as well as specialized packages from
smaller vendors.
With FlexHelp, there is no need to recompile the program,
or to have access to the program source code or technical information. Attaching custom
online help topics to specific points within applications is as easy as pointing and
clicking.
You can add custom help topics by using FlexHelp buttons or
panels. These screen shots show how buttons and panels work.
For the first time, the support organization can get
critical information to users at the problem point within applicatonsbefore
the user picks up the phone and calls the help desk.
In addition, FlexHelp systems are network-awareso new
help topics can be added or existing topics can be modified simply by updating the files
in a central network locationand all users will see the updated information almost
immediately. This lets the support staff get updated information information
to users immediately after new issues or problems arise.
As its name implies, FlexHelp is highly flexible. You can
spend a few minutes creating text pop-up topics and attach them to the proper dialog boxes
in an application. Or you can spend hours creating a complex context-sensitive help system
using technologies like WinHelp, HTML Help or standard HTML.
FlexHelp works with Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP and can
be used to add help topics to both 16- and 32-bit applications.
