Using HTML Help: Step-by-Step

To Create an HTML Help System with WordToWeb

  1. In Panel 2 of the WordToWeb Wizard, choose HTML Help as the publication type.
  2. In Panel 6, click the More Options button and then set your HTML Help preferences in the Conversion Options dialog box. These include the location of the compiler and your choice of a Java or ActiveX-based system.
  3. Click the Finish button to convert your project in the normal manner.

Converting the HTML Help Example Project

The best way to get a feel for how HTML Help works is to try WordToWeb's HTML Help Example. This example will be listed in the Open/Create WordToWeb Project dialog box when you start WordToWeb.

Before converting this example, you should download and install HTML Help Workshop from Microsoft's website, as described in the beginning of this chapter.
