The WordToWeb Wizard

The WordToWeb wizard makes it easy for any user to create sophisticated HTML publications. The wizard consists of seven separate panels. Each panel allows you to make certain choices about how your document(s) will be converted.

You can move between the wizard panels using the Next > and < Back buttons. When you have finished making your selections and you are ready to convert your publication, press the Finish button.

As you use the wizard, here are some important points to keep in mind:

  • Don't feel that you need to examine every item in every panel of the wizard. All values are initially set so that you can get good results without changing anything.
  • Once you click the Finish button and convert your publication, all your settings will be saved in the WordToWeb project file. You can reconvert the publication at any time without revisiting the panels in the Wizard (unless you want to make a change to the publication's formatting).
  • You can base new projects on a project template. This is very useful if you will be creating a number of publications which follow the same formatting guidelines. WordToWeb includes several standard project templates which make it easy for you to quickly format your publications.

The following sections discuss each of the wizard panels. Note that there are two versions of Panel #1, depending on whether you are converting a single Word document or working with a WordToWeb project.
